For employers

Benefits on paper. Guidance in hand.

Your employees already have financial benefits, resources, and professionals ready to help. Troutwood brings them together in one connected experience—helping each employee understand where they stand, what comes next, and where to turn when they need help.

Delivered directly or through the financial partners who already serve your organization, Troutwood makes personalized guidance and action available across your entire workforce.

The cost

Financial stress does not stay home.

It rides in every morning with the people you hired. It shows up as distraction in the middle of a shift, a financial decision made during the workday, an absence on a Wednesday, or a resignation in a quarter you had budgeted for growth.

The cost is already there. It just shows up somewhere else.

7 hours a week, per person

The productivity an average person loses to financial stress. Nothing about that number is soft: it is attention you are already paying for, spent on the problem your benefits package was bought to solve.

  • Distraction

Money decisions do not wait for the weekend. They get made at a desk, on a phone, in the middle of the workday.

  • Benefits left on the table

Employers invest in benefits employees may not fully understand or know when to use. The value is there. The connection often isn’t.

  • Retirement readiness

When employees are not financially prepared for retirement, the consequences extend beyond the employee—to workforce planning, succession, and the organization itself.

The gap

You are not short on benefits. You are short on reach.

Almost every organization already offers something: a retirement plan, an assistance line, a seminar at open enrollment. The expertise is already there—and already paid for. The challenge is getting it to every employee, when they need it, in a form they can actually use.

A seminar reaches the room.

Who can make it. Whoever is not on shift. The people who know where to look. Valuable guidance—but limited by time, place, and availability.

Guidance in their pocket reaches everyone.

The same workforce. Every person gets guidance built around their financial life, in plain language, on their time - with a path to act on it.

How it lands

Live in weeks, not budget cycles.

No integration project for your team to staff. No new headcount required. Four steps—and the first three are ours.

  1. We stand it up

You send a roster. We fit Troutwood to your workforce, with your organization and partners built into the experience. Your team doesn’t have to build anything.

  2. You reach every employee

Every employee gets access, wherever and whenever they work. One simple experience, on the phone they already carry.

  3. They take the next step

Employees build a plan, connect accounts, save more, address debt, prepare to invest, and act as financial decisions arise.

  4. You see the progress

See participation, engagement, and financial progress across your workforce—so you know what’s working and where more support may be needed.

One team

The expertise is already there. Troutwood brings it together.

Your retirement provider. Your advisor. Your bank or credit union. The partners already serving your organization all have expertise that can help your employees. Troutwood brings them into one connected experience—so guidance reaches the right person, at the right time, with a path to act.

The Troutwood app home screen, headed My Team, with the marks of the organizations serving this employee. A feed from those teams leads with updated financial targets received today, then a new incentive from a week ago, then $108.05 across five recent transactions, and a checklist reading 57 per cent complete, 17 of 30 steps done across four areas.
One connected platform. Your organization and financial partners come together in one employee experience. Employees know where to turn without having to know which provider does what.
A sponsor sheet over the app’s team screen. It reads Proudly sponsored by above the sponsoring organization’s wordmark, then a challenge card marked New: a photograph of a piggy bank, a date range of 08/01/2025 to 11/01/2025, 84 accepted, a title of Millionaire Maker, an instruction to create a plan with a goal that hits or exceeds $1,000,000, and a View Challenge button. Under it, a card offering more about the sponsor, and a row of its social links.
Expertise that reaches your people. Your partners can deliver guidance, next steps, and actions directly to the people they serve—with engagement and progress visible on the other side.

Access

Connected does not mean everyone sees everything.

Troutwood gives each organization and partner access based on their role. HR, advisors, providers, and financial partners see what they need to serve your employees—and nothing they don’t. Access is defined from the start, with clear permissions across every level of the relationship.

The roles inside one group in the console. Under a Roles heading, a card for Students, described as university-enrolled participants under 26, carries 312 total members, an average wellness score of 7.5 and an average likelihood of 69 per cent. The card for Professionals, working professionals aged 26 to 55, begins underneath it.

Your team

What HR sees.

  • The population, not the person.

See participation, progress, and where groups are strong or need attention—without opening an individual employee’s financial life.

  • Groups they already recognize.

Location, department, shift, tenure, or other groups that reflect how your workforce is organized.

  • Access you control.

Permissions can be expanded or narrowed by role, with clear boundaries around what HR can see.

The participant table inside that group: first name, last name, score and plan status for five people. Four are green, between 7.2 and 9.5, with a plan in place. One, Bradley Soalt, is flagged in red at 5.6 with no plan.

Your providers

What your partners see.

  • The people they serve.

Advisors and providers can see the households or employees they are responsible for—and nobody else’s.

  • The detail they need.

Where appropriate, granted roles can move from the population to the person, with the information needed to provide guidance and support.

  • Every action accounted for.

Permissions and activity are auditable, so you know who had access, what they could see, and when.

What it means for you

Financial progress shows up at work, too.

When employees have a clearer understanding of their financial lives, the benefits extend beyond their finances. They know where they stand, what comes next, and where to turn when they need help. And they know their employer is invested in helping them get there.

  • More attention on the work

When employees have a place to understand their financial lives and know what comes next, financial questions have somewhere to go besides the middle of the workday.

  • Better retirement readiness

Help employees understand where they stand, what they need, and the steps that can move them forward—from the day they are hired to the day they retire.

  • Fewer financial emergencies

Emergency savings, debt, cash flow, and retirement all live in the same financial picture. Employees can see pressure building and take action earlier.

  • Progress you can see

Move beyond participation alone. See plan activation, engagement, and financial progress across your workforce without opening an individual employee’s financial life.

  • Benefits employees can use

Connect benefits, financial partners, and guidance to the decisions employees are actually making—so more of what you already offer becomes useful in their financial lives.

  • A stronger employee experience

Give employees something increasingly valuable: a clear place to understand their financial lives, find the help available to them, and know what comes next.

How we earn trust

Built for the questions your legal team will ask.

  • Conflict‑free by design

We do not sell products, take commissions, or accept payment for placement. Nobody is being sold anything inside your benefit.

  • Employee data is never sold

It belongs to the employee and your organization. It is never sold, brokered, or turned into somebody else’s lead list.

  • Security first

Encryption in transit and at rest, independent audits, and least-privilege access across every system that touches a record.

  • Portable for life

Employees keep their history, goals, and progress as jobs, organizations, and financial relationships change. Their financial life doesn’t end when employment does.
