Company

Everyone does their part.

Troutwood was founded out of Carnegie Mellon University’s Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship by a team with experience spanning institutional investing, banking, wealth management, financial education, behavioral finance, and technology. That breadth of experience shapes how we think, how we build, and how we serve.

How we earn trust

The four you can hold us to.

  • Conflict‑free by design

We don’t sell financial products, take commissions, or accept payment for placement.

  • Your data is never sold

Customer data belongs to the customer and the institution serving them. It is never sold or brokered.

  • Security first

Encryption in transit and at rest. Least-privilege access. Independent audits. Security built into every layer.

  • Portable for life

People keep their financial history, goals, and progress as they move across jobs and institutions.

Great people build great products. Great products build great companies.

View open roles.
